Be Inspired!

I have to admit that once I started my weight loss journey, I had no clue what I was getting into. I just adjusted my mindset and began to just simply do it. One day, I just looked in the mirror and noticed all my imperfections; not only on the outside but the inside too. I had low self-esteem and could barely look at myself in the mirror everyday. Yes! I was that disgusted with myself and often asked myself, "Cherish, how in the world did you get this way?" In May of 2013 is when I started to notice all of this after an event happened that totally broke my heart or what I thought broke my heart. I realized that I needed to totally start loving me first and began to start taking care of myself. When you start to realize who YOU are as a person and begin to take care of YOU, your mindset starts to change for the better. One of the words I've been guilty of using in the past was the word "can't", which is one of the most brutal words you can use when trying to motivate yourself to do something that is going to change you for the better. Once I got my mindset together, that word was never used in my vocabulary. I succeeded because I refused to use words to deteriorate my motives of becoming a better me. When I started my weight loss journey, I was 221 pounds. And since then, I have lost over 50 pounds. I not only look great, but I feel great. I couldn't do this without the help of the good Lord. I prayed, read the word, and stayed courageous. I continue to do that now and I am simply blessed by God for everything He has done in my life. This journey is never over because I continue to learn something new about myself all the time. Yes, at one time I fell but I decided to get right back up and let God lead me into where I am today. As women, we have to remember to stay strong in everything we do, and most importantly love yourself with all your might. This doesn't mean become vain but learn to get to know who the real you is and establish a relationship with yourself. You will know your worth and nobody can take that worth from you. God made us to be his princesses who become queens in womanhood. When we begin to process those things, we become greater than we ever thought we could be. Be inspired!

Have a great day!
