First things first, SAVING MONEY $$$
  • Couponing- Clipping coupons has become a hobby for me. It is easy to do while watching television or listening to music. You can retrieve coupons from your Sunday newspaper or online. Some websites I use are:,, or There are many different websites; those were just a few.
  • Buying sale items- Checking out weekly specials from your local grocery store or pharmacy is a win! Especially when you have a coupon to use with the item. Preparing dinner meals, lunches, and snacks with sale items can save you a pretty penny. This also goes for toiletry items and household items as well.
  • Thrifty/consignment shopping- Buying furniture and clothing at a low cost is also a WIN! Going to local thrift stores and consignment shops can be fun. Sometimes its a hit or miss but it does not hurt to try.

Secondly, CHORES around the house
  • Have your children clean behind themselves; after dinner, after a bath, and after play time
  • Children can help clean and set the table before dinner as well
  • Have your child help you take out their school clothes; this will give them independence
  • Have your child make up their bed and clean their room
  • Children can take out trash and load/unload the dishwasher

These are just a few tips on how to save money and how to save time around the house, I know there are hardworking Moms going to school, working, and doing it all! Take a load off, get your children involved, let them help out around the house, and of course, you can reward them for being a team player. I hope this helps!
